Day 4- feeling poor?

So coming home yesterday was great.  I made it to about 9 PM and we went to bed.  I carefully made it up the 12 or so stairs (up with the good, down with the bad) and was able yo get into bed (it wasn't too low or anything).  My leg felt really swollen and super sore, I kept an ice pack on it and took all the pills I was allowed to take.

The actual worst part was that in spite of all the painkillers, I had a throbbing headache!  I haven't had a bad headache for a while, and my body obviously just thought it was time for a big one.  It's a bit like when I was in hospital, I had the back pain?  Then I come home and headache.  Through the night my leg was awful, hard and swollen- my head was awful, I just felt awful.

Anyway in the morning my SO made me get up and come downstairs (didn't want me up there alone all day) so I carefully started down the stairs and then after about 2 steps- RUBBER LEG.  Luckily I sat down onto the stair behind me so there was no fall but it really took the wind out of my sails.  Also, in an effort to save me, he grabbed me by the left nipple and held on.  I clearly remember saying PLEASE LET GO OF MY NIPPLE NOW. Ahhh at least there is an element of comedy.

So I sat in the rocking chair (it has arms, but before the op, it was too low and I couldn't sit in it) and had a bagel with smoked salmon and some coffee, so I felt a lot less scared and weepy.  Then we made a shopping list and I moved to the sofa, so F could go to the gym (I miss the gym) and go shopping.

Oh the other thing that my body is doing is COLD SORES.  I am so run down,  I have sprouted cold sores in my nose, on my lips, and for some reason I have a blister on my hand.  UGH.  Anyway K brought me some Zovirax so that will be ok soon.

I walked around the downstairs a little and my leg feels less sore.  Right now I am trying to  mediate a dispute between my daughters which I really don't need.

My quads haven't improved and I am starting to get a little worried.  I can flex them (kind of) but I can't do a seated leg extension, and I can't raise my ankle off the bed.
