Turned another corner

had a good physio session yesterday.  Some of the muscles activated by the femoral nerve are working, some are still not.  I can extend my leg against 1kg resistance!  Physio says the nerve isn't recruiting all the potential muscle fibres, but as it regenerates, it will.  If I keep trying, eventually the pathway will remap.

I woke up this morning, nothing really hurt.  Got up and we spent the day working on the house.  I walked around all day and was up and down steps.

Drove myself to an appointment for my DEXA scan, and got good news.  I have lost 5kg since the last scan, and actually have gained muscle!  The only bad news is that instead of 0% visceral fat, I had some!  Only a little but still.  The dexa tech said it could be just the lack of serious cardio for the last 3 weeks.  I think it's fascinating that I have lost fat, gained lean mass and still deposited some visceral fat!  So my goals between now and December are to take care of that!

Hipwise, I have also been walking around the house with no crutches sometimes.  My knee gets tired and I have to be careful not to lock it, but all in all I feel almost like my old self today.  Did an hour on the bike at the gym tonight and a few sets of weights.

Things are looking up!
